Maria Montessori opened her first classroom, the Casa dei Bambini in 1907. The Montessori method spread to North America in the 1960's with the opening of thousands of Montessori schools. Montessori Bambini focuses on preschool lesson plans for children between 2 1/2 to 6 years of age.
